Dragon Quest Walk may not have the global name recognition of Pokémon GO, but it has a fan base all its own in Japan. The AR mobile app lets players meet and battle monsters from the classic JRPG in everyday life. And, kicking off soon, the game will be teaming up with Japan’s six Pacific League baseball teams for a magical collaboration.
The spring collaboration was announced via a YouTube video blending footage from the six teams’ baseball games with your Dragon Quest faves… also in uniform:
Starting next month, there will be six collaboration games — one for each team in the league — with special goods, displays, and activities scheduled. For those who can’t make it to the games, there will be in-app events and crossover merchandise available as well.
