Here’s everything we know about what’s coming to Face of the Franchise in Madden 22.

Before we get to the details about Face of the Franchise, it’s good to know when you’ll actually be able to play it.

As revealed today, Madden 22 is scheduled for a release date of August 20, 2021 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Stadia.

You can see the new Madden 22 trailer above, which includes the first actual gameplay footage of the title we’ve seen.

Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady will actually share the cover this year, making them both the first to repeat as cover athlete and part of the first two athlete cover since Madden 10.

Madden 22 is bringing back the single player campaign mode Face of the Franchise once again, and a new year brings a new story and subtitle.

Last year, we saw Face of the Franchise: Rise to Fame focus on your player trying to overcome the adversity of being the number one overall draft pick.

Last year also included two years of college football in the story mode before your player actually arrived in the NFL, and we don’t know for sure if that aspect is returning.

While little has been revealed just yet about Face of the Franchise: United We Rise in Madden 22, we did get some early details from EA Sports.

While we haven’t yet been able to confirm if the college football part of Face of the Franchise will be returning this year, we do know some exciting new features that are coming.

Perhaps the biggest change is that you’ll no longer be restricted to choosing a quarterback, wide receiver, or running back.

Finally, they’ve added unified progression which lets your avatar and all progress, reward, and gear to be shared with The Yard in Madden 22.

With a few months left until the launch of Madden 22, we should learn more in the coming weeks about what Face of the Franchise: United We Rise will look like.
